As the country collapses into sectarian CIVIL WAR between Sunni and Shi'ite - the Shi'ite government and military (under the current president who sided with Iran in the '79-'80 Iran hostage crises) throw their hat into the ring with Shi'ite Iran....the military would be slightly smaller as Sunni Army troops split off with their equipment and pilots with their aircraft to fight the Civil War.
